Hi everyone. A quick search revealed alot already and I have hi hopes you all can guide me in the right direction.

Goal: To publish my guide book in the best format for digital readers. Is there one that's better than another for guide books? The new IPAD by Apple is using EPub. So I'm guessing it's the best choice of the moment.

Easily enough, I've exported the InDesign file directly to an EPub file. But there were no security prompts, no settings. If I make this version available for sale from my website, will people be able to reproduce it?

What is the best way to trouble shoot the finished product? This all seems a bit too easy. I must be missing something.

Hi Victoria, welcome to MR!

I'm not in a position to help with your technical questions. If you don't get any answers here in "Introduce Yourself", I'd suggest re-posting in one of the more technical forums, like maybe Workshop.

My wife and I lived in California in the 80's. One time we walked from Pt. Reyes to San Francisco, averaging about 10 miles/day and staying at a bed & breakfast each night. One of the inns we stayed in was in Sausalito--unfortunately, can't remember the name of it--anyway, they served complimentary wine and cheese until 5 p.m. I remember getting there just a few minutes before 5, tired, thirsty and hungry! Best vacation I've ever had!
