HTML to EPUB?
Hi,
I tried to convert an HTML book to ePub using Calibre, but got the following error messages. Any ideas? I would sure search your source for QImage.loadFromData().
Try commenting it out and see what happens. Robert |

Hi. I changed the graphics that the original HTML file was referenceing from SVG to JPG and re-ran it, and that seemed to fix the problem.
Thank you for the quick responses. |

A friend is using Calibre to convert HTML to ePub. He's converting my source files from Word to HTML, doing some layout adjustment in Dreamweaver, then from HTML to ePub, using Calibre. The resulting ePub versions seem to keep all the formatting in place, but for some reason, his Calibre viewer keeps crashing after turning a few pages. I've checked his ePub files on a Sony 505 with no such hitch. Any thoughts? Cheers. Neil

Ask him to open a ticket and attach the epub file, and I'll take a look. Also I fixed a number of viewer crashing on windows bugs recently, so ask him to upgrade to the latest version.

Thanks, Kovid. I've dropped a reminder of this thread (kind of you to chime in) and my pal, Tony Szmukm, will be in touch as soon as he wakes up (nine hour time difference). Thanks again for the personal touch with questions. Rare and mo0st welcome these days. Best. Neil

Thanks Neil, Kovid. I t seems that the problem was the Calibre version I've been using. I just installed the latest version and everything is fine now.
