I found this forum while searching for reviews of e-readers. I do not own one myself but I purchased a Kindle2 last month as a Christmas gift for my wife. She is having so much fun with it I decided to get one for myself. But I am more interested in a Nook. I had originally planned to get a Nook for my wife but she loved the Kindle after borrowing one from a friend so I thought I better get what I know she likes. Anyway this looks like a great place to find loads of information and I'm sure I will benefit from the knowledge here. Thanks.

You may want to consider ebook formats before you decide upon the brand of the 2nd reader. I am not 100% certain what formats work with what readers, but I do know that not all readers accept all formats from different readers.


It may suck if you and your wife werent able to share books.

I ordered the Nook
I ordered the Nook yesterday. First I got an email from B&N telling me that it would ship out on the 12th. Today I received an email from them telling me my nook was already shipped. UPS tracking information scheduled delivery for tomorrow. that mean I should get my Nook 2 days after ordering. The only problem is they are predicting a severe snow storm starting early tomorrow afternoon. I usually receive shipments form UPS late in the afternoon so I have a feeling they will not make it tomorrow. Anyway I'll still get it a lot sooner than I expected.

Those bikes on your image file are all Harley 100 Anniversary bikes. I can tell because they all have the 100 Anniversary emblem on the tanks. BTW, my Nook was delivered about an half an hour ago. I just ordered it 2 days ago. When I ordered it they told me it would be shipped out on the 12th. So I wasn't expecting it until about the 15th or so. I'm giving it a full charge before I use it. It's looks much nicer than the Kindle I bought my wife for Christmas. She doesn't even know I ordered a Nook yet.
