2010 Writer's Market Updates

Just picked up the 2010 Writer's Market for Novel/Short Story.
It's a sad day in the economy when half the listings from my 2007 edition have closed up shop

The major update that I can see is that it's a good time to be in the gay or paranormal romance market. It's also a good time to be in the comic market. The majority of the new markets listed are looking for that stuff.

Does anyone put any stock into these guides at all?

I place zero faith in any of this stuff. And it'll be gone within 5 years anyway (fingers crossed) These books are akin to looking at horse and buggy catalogs about a year after Ford released his first car
