Waterfield with M-Edge?

I currently have an M-Edge Platform Jacket for my Kindle2 which is working out well for me under "household" conditions.

I want to take my Kindle with me to work, to read during my lunch break, but I don't feel the M-Edge case is protection enough from the elements (snow, rain, who-knows-what). I don't always carry my laptop messenger bag back and forth, so I'd like a smallish dedicated carry-bag for the Kindle with M-Edge case.

I'm interested in the Waterfield SleeveCase Large, which reportedly fits the Kindle inside another case. I did contact them asking if the combo would work, and although they thought it would, they did suggest I ask here in case anyone has gone down this road before.

I'm drawn to the Waterfield since they don't look like a woman's handbag and we've got a few other Waterfield products in the house that are amazing in workmanship. I know I'd be getting more than my money's worth if it fits.

If anyone's tried this combination I'd love to hear your story.

Thanks!

One of the many Waterfield bags I use is the large SleeveCase for the Kindle2. I currently have both an Oberon cover and an M-Edge Go for the K2 and both will fit in the large SleeveCase.

The Go fits perfectly but is a bit different than the Platform so perhaps you can compare dimensions on M-Edge's website.

Thanks, that helps a lot!

After checking the measurements of both M-Edge cases I'm going to err on the side of economic safety and assume my Platform case won't fit well enough inside the Large SleeveCase.

Of course this is the perfect reason to toss aside economic sanity and order an Oberon Designs cover (so that I can get the Waterfield case of course)... I've been wanting an OB case anyway ;-)

Read this...

Oberon: 8 5/8 " L x 6 1/16" W 7/8" thick (with Kindle)

If the Platform *length* is the same as or less than 8 5/8" it will fit. The Oberon is snug, but it fits.

I've always had excellent customer service from Waterfield and I would give them a call. I believe you can order and return if the fit does not meet with your approval. I had the same concerns when I ordered mine.

Thanks again Skydog... the Platform's length is 9" as reported by M-Edge's own site.
