Uh, I don't think I like the new Cool-er's design....
Either it was the horrible pictures, or the lighting IN the pictures, but it's FUGLY.
Whatever gave them the idea that moving buttons away from the sides, it doesn't upgrade the reading experience. Most people are picky about their experiences. I think it looks much thicker, whether they say it is or not it's an UGLY kind of smaller! Oh, who needs to forget the awful shade of color? The matte (or whatever texture) effect makes it look cheap and poorly built. My two cents.... Last edited by Not_A_Crook; 01-11-2010 at 07:39 PM. |

where?
Do you have a link to the info on the new Cool-er's coming out? I looked at one of the links but it only had one picture.
I hope that they put the buttons on the side of the device this time. I think that is a much more comfortable position. Amy |

The design isn't down to Cool-ER; it's a completely standard Netronix EB600. All Cool-ER do is put their logo on it.

Unfortunately they grouped the buttons onto the bottom middle.

Er, why are there two arrow buttons left and right of the D-Pad?
The D-Pad already has left/right buttons in it? |

I do like that they've kept the 6" screen.

ugly
Yeah I agree the finish is ugly, I hope that they change it before production.
I am happy that they are trying a different button configuration. Though I think its a mistake to make the buttons all flush with the cover because that is where the complaints about the buttons being hard to push come from. The buttons themselves are not hard to push so much as the cover is hard. Though I think the current Cool-er is more visually pleasing I can see why they would want to reduce the size while keeping the screen at 6 inches. Amy |
