Download Plugins

I am new to Calibre and am having trouble trying to customize it.

Can anyone give me step by step instructions on how to add a Download Plugin. I want to add LibraryThings.com for when I request meta information but I haven't a clue on how to do this...

Read the section in the user manual on customizing calibre and look at the builtin plugin for amazon (it's in metadata/amazon.py if I remember right). If you have a specific question, I'll be happy to answer it.
