Copying files to Iliad Irex

Hello everyone,

1) When I connect my Iliad to my laptop I can sometimes see my Compact Flash card and copy files to it - but at other times I see its Internal memory as the root directory. How do I control whether I am able to see its Internal Memory directory structure or its Compact Flash memory?

2) I am trying to update the iliad with the v2.12 software release but I don't seem to be able to do it. When I press the Connect buttom at the top right, it goes all the way to the iDS server. When in it download the v2.12 software release updates but not the actual software version. Instead it gives a message that downloaded file cannot be unpacked and so on.

In sum, I haven't yet really been able to enjoy the iLiad since I don't seem to be able to control what it does. Help!

1: You can change this in the settings screen. Copying files to a CF-card is easiest imo by inserting it in a cardreader.
2: Have you registered your device on the iRex site (for link see MR-wiki) ? I don't know if that's required but it might help.
