WSJ on Reader is Awesome... except...
It seems to hang the reader doing the autodownload of the subscription. I can't tell if that's because it was downloading at the time or what... but my reader totally hung...
Only option was to restart it, and have 3G OFF on restart.... tx P |

I'm not sure if this helps but check the lower left corner where the 3G icon resides and next to the right of the icon will be a progress bar indicating the status of your 3G connection. If there is no indication of any 3G activity I would assume the periodical has downloaded successfully.
I will take a look at mine tomorrow (WSJ doesn't deliver on Christmas Day) and report back if your situation is a common one. Until then, enjoy your new reader! mokeiko |

I just checked this morning and my periodical downloaded automatically without any problems. Maybe you were using the unit at the online store, turned off 3G, adjusting wireless settings during the download perhaps although I doubt that since the periodicals download very early in the morning (I'm usually asleep during the time). Hopefully you get it sorted out.

Thanks Mokeiko...
I'm now in Japan so I can't download online over 3G... but will try it again on Sunday. I hope it catches up the missed downloads... My guess is that it has something to do with the fact that I leave 3G off by default, and only enable it when I "Need it"... saving battery is a long learned "skill" of flying 200K per year+ for the last 10 years... and while the 900 thereotically has a removable battery... practically doing so isn't exactly easy ![]() tx P |
