So..........what did Santa bring you?

What did you find under the tree?

A new ebook reader? Tell us what your favorite gift is.

My favorite gift was the hardback version of Jennifer Chiaverini's latest "A Quilters Holiday", to add to my collection.

Definitely a shelf worthy author.

I got a fifty dollar Visa card from my parent in laws, and a very pretty personalized tree ornament from my sister in law.
Chris and I didn't exchange gifts this year, we bought for each other earlier (the netbooks and the flat screen tv we bought in November).

Yes, we went - but I didn't touch the baby nephew, and my mother in law was and is still in the hospital.

I got Amazon gift cards - even from my cats!
And some new Wellies (it's pouring rain here), and slipper socks.

And - best of all - a bottle of 16 year old Lagavulin scotch!

We'll all be settling down tonight to read, sip, read, sip, etc.

Thanks, DGma. She shattered her hip last year, and the surgery was botched. Instead of screwing the bones together, so they'd hold, they screwed THROUGH the bone. So whenever she moved, the screws were going into muscle, tearing that and causing infections. By now, the infection has been going on so long that the bone itself has deteriorated. At the moment, we have no idea what they're going to do, or what can be done.

That's what the money is for, is to buy the toys!

I got an internet radio. I love it, I can listen to news from all over the world while cooking dinner, to podcasts, all mp3s on our mediaserver plus the music that's on my iPhone since I can connect it to (and also load with) the radio device. Kids made me a cute cherry pit pollow and a candle that looks like a snow man.

I'm going to have to break down and do that too. I just found out (12 years later.. LOL) that David Copperfield (the magician, not the Dicken's character) has a book with his name on it (it's a collection of short stories, including at least one by him, from the blurb I saw). However, it's not available in ebook anywhere, (probably because it's so old), so I'm going to buy it. It's called Beyond Imagination, and since I'm a huge David Copperfield fan, I've got to have it.

Nope not a ebook reader, I cracked and bought one for myself as a late birthday pressie to myself away back in May.

But I did good - I couldn't think of a thing I needed this year so I opted for a smaller, slimmer and more up to date digital camera - then I found out all about what an IPod Touch really was and fell in love so I put out feelers for one for my birthday next year. Luckily I must have made Santa's good list this year and got a surprise pressie of an 8GB IPod Touch with a £25 gift card to go with it. So needless to say I was very surprised and totally over the moon when I opened it.

From my brother and sister in law I got an Pure-Fi Anytime dock for my new IPod which has an intrigraded (sure I miss-spelled that but you get the idea!) Premium alarm clock with AM/FM radio. These speakers are totally mind blowing and beat anything I've seen before for the IPod in the stores.

And from my three nephews I got a neat pink carry case for my new IPod and some screen protectors.

I was totally thrilled beyond belief with my presents this year, it's a toss up between my new camera and my IPod for favourite pressie with my IPod accessories coming in a very close third place spot.

Well I'm ready to crash soon so I'll sign off here and hope everyone got half as lucky as I feel today!!

I had a wonderful Christmas day with my other half and her two charming daughters (both grown up and at University). So my best present was a wonderful day with wonderful people I love.

I also got to give my mother her first ebook reader (one of the Sony Pockets), pretty good as she asked for one and this is her first trip into technoland at 75.

Finally I must add two wonderful gifts I was given, one was the coolest egg cup that comes with a little hammer to break the shell and its own egg spoon, the other was windsurfing lessons he he . So if you are near Windsor when the weather in the UK is warmer, the old, fat, bald bloke on the windsurfing board is me lol. Can't wait.
