FW 2.0 The good, the bad, and the Ugly?!

Thanx Bookeen for releasing the Firmware.... Ugh...long wait.

Chose the Epub version for many reasons. So far have only had 2 freezes with the new firmware.....

The good:

Page numbers
Folders
epub

The bad:

no bookmarks
Where is the rotation?landscape mode

The Ugly...

none so far...

How about other Gen3er's....... What do you make of the 2.0 FW.....????

You had 2 freezes in less than 24 hrs? That's one for the "ugly" section I think.

The lack of hyphenation is really annoying.

Also some of the files I have tested has no top margin or too small top margin.

One of My epub books wont load ...not sure why. Will try the same one with FB2...never tried that format.

Was hoping for Landscape mode for epub..... has anyone tried a PDF yet? is it better than the last firmware?

The cropping of marginals makes it more useful but the cropping is a bit buggy since it do not work together with "Show Status Bar".

Yes, just rotate it 90 degree.

And it is in landscape mode you have the problem with the status bar. How little testing have they done when they have missed such a simple thing?

The 1.5 on my Gen 3 is the fastest E-Ink rendering I experienced on any of my devices!

Yes ....boot up and shutting down are much better. However, I tried to add an FB2 file by drag and drop and my Cybook froze after I rebooted. When I add books with Calibre no problem....

FW2.0 which this thread is about do not feel faster when reading. It feels slower for ePub files. And I get strange delays when reading pdf files.

Must add The page turning on epub is very Fast on my machine..

Iam reading an epub book with 400 pages. I was on page 205. pressed for the next page and the Cybook shut down. Plus it did not remember the page I was on It only remembered to page 100. Ugh.Overall though, I am enjoying the new firmware.
