Fictionwise Microsoft Reader problems?
I jumped in on the latest Fictionwise sale and bought some books in Microsoft Reader format. I installed Microsoft Reader for Windows, activated it, and attempted to download the .lit files through IE as is necessary. Something with the .lit extension downloads, but it is only a 168 byte file containing the text:
<H2>Download Server Error </H2> <HR> <P> An invalid action request was posted to the Download Server. TransactionID: n/a, Error code: (hr=0x80048311) - (hr=0x80048311) (error code might not be the same with each file, but that's one representative.) Any ideas? |

Okay, I just stumbled on to a way to get the download to work-- when the IE download manager pops up, hitting the "cancel" button will-- instead of canceling the download, actually download the file correctly while choosing to download will get the error. Odd.
