E-book readers loaned

From January, the French town of Issy-les-Moulineaux will be offering 15 e-book readers for loan in its media library, and will keep four more devices for people to try out in the library. The devices will be an assortment of Sony PRS505s, Cybook Opuses and Cybook Gen3s. The duration of the loans will be 24 days, exactly the same as for the other documents in the library.

Each device will be preloaded with 200 public domain e-books, classified by genre, and the media library does not intend to loan additional e-books. Piracy issues seem to have been resolved by a simple utilisation clause specifying that the device has to be returned with its original content.

The operation is being launched with the MOTif as partner.

that's a great deal, I wonder if there is any feasible way to make it work in big cities
