Great books, easy to read, and the story line makes for a fast and enjoyable read. A page turner!

rcuadro: i get feedback from a a third of my readers that they liked soul identity better. my current theory is that sci-fi readers fall in this camp... does that fit?

I got both on my iPhone, and gobbled them up. I did like Soul Identity better just because you get an introduction to the group, but I did very much enjoy Soul Intent as well, and I'm anxiously waiting the third

Not in my case. I think I sent you an email on this a while back (Around Aug/Sep time frame) but Soul Intent was pretty straight forward on its story line. Soul Intent had lots of plot twists and more action in my opinion.
I put the rest as a spoiler as to not ruin the book for others...

In Soul Identity you introduced the while soul tracking idea... and on top of that you had the threat to the company by the competitor and from someone with in. It was great! Taking out someone's eye and fake an identity to take over the company as an overseer. And the crazy plot to kill off a bunch of people in order to manipulate them. Awesome! In the second book the whole soul identity was already established and it all dealt with retrieving a treasure. Nothing more.
Now, I dont want to belittle the second one since it was a good book

That is also a good thing... you get the same main characters in the second book... and it actually takes place a couple of months after it

i'm working through the outline for the third book now, and will start writing in january. it'll be set in 1960's cuba (and the present, of course), and i can't wait to get the story out of my head, down my fingers, and into your readers!

unfortunately it takes a loooong time to get 'em done: it'll be almost a year to crank through the first draft, and then more than that for the editing/rewrites. i'm aiming for a launch in the middle/end of 2011.
