Questionable Question Marks
I have recently downloaded the complete Sharpe series in EPub which reads perfectly in Calibre and on the Sony Library on my computer (WinXP).
However, when I export them to my PRS300 there are question marks dotted indiscriminately amongst the sentences e.g . . . "The Spa?nis?h Major he?ld out h?is hand and slow?ly rem?ove?d the g?love" Does anyone have any ideas about how I can cure this ? |

They are probably "soft hyphens", and, for whatever reason, the Sony is not displaying them correctly.

Thought that this would be of interest to anyone else suffering from the problem of "Questionable Question Marks"
Discovered that I could "cure" the problem by converting the EPub format file into EPub Format using Calibre. Don't know why but it did the job . . no more ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ![]() |
