Ebook not currently available for download

I just purchased, for $5.79, Audrey Niffenegger's "Her Fearful Symmetry," and received the message below from Amazon:

"We're sorry, this title is not currently available for download.

We are investigating the difficulty with this title and ask that you try again in 24 hours. If after that time you are still unable to access this title, please contact us for further assistance. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Thank you for shopping at Amazon.com!"

It is possible I've maxed out my debit card. I live in Peru, but maintain a U.S. address and banking account, and may need to deposit another $500 or so to my account, although I'll be in the U.S on December 23. I'll need to recheck my balance, as I periodically have purchased quite a number of ebooks from Fictionwise and Amazon.

Has anyone else received this message?

This isn't a purchasing problem, you have already bought the ebook at this point and should get an email confirmation from Amazon.

I got the same message a few days ago, using the "transfer to computer" option on purchase. I found that I could almost immediately download the ebook from the "Manage Your Kindle" page.

Well, rather than wait 24 hours, I waited about 24 minutes and was able to download the book without any problem.

Strange.....

Anyway, if you are interested in her new book, Amazon has the least expensive price. Everyone else is much, much higher on this title.

I routinely download all my Amazon books (bought via Whispernet) to my PC - and often get that message. I think it's just a server issue. Waiting a few minutes and trying again has always worked.

Still probably a bit unnerving the first time you see it. Thanks for sharing this info. I'll try not to panic when/if it happens to me.
