Just placed my order
After lurking on the forum for a little while, and doing a lot of online comparisons, I finally (just now!) placed an order for a Pocket Pro in black. I'm looking forward to giving it a test-run, and see how well it can display PDFs I generate myself, as well as some other items I want to throw at it

I'm also reading up on Calibre, and plan on downloading it to my Mac(s) tonight, to get some reading material loaded up on an SD card, in preparation for the PP to arrive.

Looking forward to learning and sharing on the forum

Welcome, Lurker Jim!

I used Word 2003 to generate my own PDFs. I made the page size 3"x4", which is PEZ screen size, and made all of the text, if I remember, 8 or 10 pt, and it work wonderfully.

I did not include any hyperlinks or chapter links, so I can't attest for how those will turn out using Word. Perhaps someone else will know.

I work for Astak.

Thank you for getting the Pocket PRO in Black. It is a good device with a whole lot of features. Please do not forget about recharging when the battery gauge shows slightly less than 1/2 full. The battery charge gauge is only a rough guide and IF you are going to see a problem it will almost always be due to low battery charge.

Make certain that you do all the firmware upgrades on our website: www.theEZreader.com. You do no harm by assuring your device has the updates by downloading them. The November 5 upgrade significantly helped battery life and changed the font graduations.

Please read the FAQ sheet on our website under "Support". It has a lot of easy to understand hints and tips on the Pocket PRO.

I just wanted to thank you and properly introduce myself and let you know we are grateful and think you will be very happy!!

Griffonwing and Laura 81 are two special people who I have grown very fond of. They can be a great help!!
