PRS-600 Purchase questions?????????

I recently purchased a PRS 600. I have an account with
Sony E Books and I have no trouble getting books from there. My question is if I want to buy books from other sources can I add them to my PRS 600 and if so what is the procedure for doing so?...I apologize if this seems like an elementary question but I am an ebook novice.

buy them online with your computer, plug your Sony into computer, load the books onto it

You can buy books from any bookstore that sells ePub format. First of all, you'll need to install Adobe Digital Editions software (ADE) on your PC, and "activate" both your PC and your Reader in ADE. Once you've done that, you can buy any ePub book from a bookstore; the bookstore will generally e-mail you a download link which will download the book to Adobe Digital Editions on your PC. Finally, use ADE to transfer the book to the Sony.

It's a lot easier than it sounds

Most ebookstores will (should) have a detailed FAQ section on how to purchase and install ebooks. I know whsmiths (UK site) do have.

If you buy books from other sources and not Sony then the biggest issue is that you'll need to install more software on your computer (ADE) and the books you purchase will be shown in this new software instead.
