All of the 'Free on Kindle' ebooks I have checked so far cost $2 if one doesn't have a Kindle - that is, if one is using Kindle for PC.

I'm afraid the problem isn't Kindle for PC but your location. If you're outside USA, they're not free.

This one is for free until the 16th at Omnilit, multiple formats (though you can pick only one...) and without DRM.

Thanks, good to know - DRM free is always better, in case you want to change to another format later on.

Do you know if OmniLit maintains these free books in a bookshelf, so you can re-download them later?
