Getting access to Linux
I've looked all over the place and while I see lots of cool hacks.
I can't find anyplace on how to get access to The Kindle 2's Linux. I'd love to play around with this and try some ideas but I can't seem to get to the shell to do anything. Can someone point me to the thread that discusses this? Thanks, Don |

You should be able to find the information you need by wading through the rather lengthy thread entitled "Restore KindleDX USB networking". You'll find a link to an updater that gives you the ability to telnet or ssh into the Kindle. I haven't tried this myself, though.

Thanks. I did find that. Of course now I can't telnet to it **or** use the disk option
)I'll ask about that on that thread though. |
