iLiad Announce: Glade4Lua, develop graphical apps for the Iliad

Hi All,

It is possible to develop graphical apps for the Iliad in Lua, by using lgob, a Lua binding for GTK+). See this thread (start at message 44). for details...

It can get even easier:

Design the GUI with glade (visual basic like designer)
Convert design to Lua code
Write the callbacks for the buttons, etc
Run it on the Iliad

The cool step is [2]: glade4Lua, a Lua script I wrote to convert Glade's xml output to Lua. I'll continue working on it when I have some spare time. Feel free to experiment (and comment).

I developed Glad4lua a bit further. It's getting quite useful...

I just released MiniPad: a small application with a gui desiged with Glade and converted to Lua by Glade4lua.
