Downloading epub books from Sony Bookstore

Do you need to install the latest version of Sony eReader 3.0 in order to be able to download books from the Sony Bookstore in epub format?

I currently still use v2 and just tried to redownload my purchased books but they can down as lrx still.

Also, if you have v3 of their s/w installed, do you also need Adobe Digital Editions (to download epub books from other online bookstores) or does Sony eReader v3 s/w replace ADE?

The Sony bookstore doesn't sell epub format yet.

For OSX, v3 seems to replace the need for ADE, but I don't know if that's also true for Windows.

No, epubs aren't sold there yet, but you'll be able to re-download your past purchases in epub format when they'll be available.
