Mentor Lite, Version 2?

I seen this blurb hovering around the Astek Facebook, and Twitter page.

Have a look at netronix. I am not sure what model the Lite 2 is exactly, though!

All of those have WiFi.Bluetooth/3G Wireless connection. I mean the one with out looks like the current mentor. Interesting though. Other questions like will it have the same DRM formats as the PP come to mine though such as Adobe.

The PP has the ADE Mobile incorporated. So have the Netronix clones!

I see it. Just thought Astak would have more to say. Is the "second" version really just the vanilla version on the website currently? O_o

On which web site? It doesn't look like it is any of the models on the Netronix web site. It doesn't have any of the wireless or touch screen capabilities. However, it has a few enhancements like the faster controller. So its really in between the choices.

Is that the model you are looking for? By the way, the discounted cost is US$249. The only way to see that is to create an account and add the item to your cart. It's interesting this model only comes in black and white and only has 4 gray scale levels. I thought the new 6" model was supposed to be really great?

Yeah but it was made to seem like it would have 8 gray scale levels. So I'm scratching my head wondering... What's really going on?

I haven't been over to Astak to check in the last few days. However, when I originally reported on Robertb's announcement I am sure that the Astak web site still had the old Mentor (mentor 1) up for sale.

The discounted price on the Mentor 1 was $10 or so lower than the price I mentioned and the new features, such as the grayscale were missing. So, if you aren't seeing the new price and new features, then i would expect its still the old reader.

Pretty sure it's the old one. He said they were still working out pricing on the new one. It's taking a bit longer because they're selling it through retail stores.

I guess it would suck having it up on the site without a price point. People need to channel their inner Apple. I mean I hate the company, but I love when they announce something, when you weren't looking they changed their whole website and you can already buy it.

Microsoft teased and teased with the Zune HD. They should of just thrown a MS event, and been like bam it's already on the website.

Bumping this one up, as I would like to purchase the new Mentor Lite and I want to make sure that I order the right thing. According to this post on RobertB's blog, the Mentor Lite version 2 is available from astak.com

But, the only product link that I find on astak.com is for something called the Mentor

which supposedly displays only 4 levels of grey. There is also no mention of the new Epson controller. Robert, would you mind clarifying whether this is indeed the new Mentor Lite version 2? If so, shouldn't the astak.com product description be updated to include this information?
