ink spot on screen

I haven't used my reader for a few days, looked at it today and it suddenly seemed to have an "ink" spot on the screen. It's a smallish spot about a quarter of the way from the left, just below the centre.

The only problem I've had with my reader recently is that it kept freezing when I was viewing PDF files.

Anyone had this before?
Is there any way to fix it?
I can still see it with the reader off(proper shutdown).
