No, I don't think they could. He's too formulaic. It would be wrong for the plot generator to be more inventive than the author.

No, don't move it to that other Forum.
Let's talk about Plot Generators and the efficacy of using one to improve overall readability and general interest of texts. Does anyone think they really work? Does that "author" actually use one? If he did use one, would his "work" be improved? So: What's the thinking on Plot Generators? Don Last edited by Dr. Drib; 09-16-2009 at 11:10 AM. |

I'm still not a 100% fanatic of Dan Brown.
His clunky prose still irks the hell out of me (Go read the excerpt) and I want to throw my Kindle half the time. But, when he is good - he's good. And when he's bad...he's bloody terrible. But, he does do a decent job of keeping the tension up. I've always been a fan of his 2 page chapters that end on sort-of cliffhangers to make you want to turn the next page. I remember the first time I read Angels and Demons. I was definitely younger, but the frustration of not 'knowing' what happened next made for a crappy end of commute sometimes. But I actually found myself looking forward to the next day's commute, just to see what the hell happened |

I'm a little sick of the bash Dan Brown threads, but I have to admit this was pretty funny.
