Sonystyle.com US Projected ship date?
I ordered a black PRS-600 in August and my order is showing an "estimated ship date" of 8/31/2009. Does anyone have any information as to when these are actually expected to ship. I ordered there to get the $100 sonystyle credit card deal - I now see that they are in stock at Walmart

Same situtation here. Except I just ordered yesterday. There's no ETA on the site but there's a phone number to call in the upper right corner... just call that and ask maybe? I didn't bother, I figured I'd just wait until I see a good enough price elsewhere ($250 out the door)--or decide to buy some newly introduced or discounted model--then cancel if it hasn't shipped yet from sonystyle..

I had the same situation. I finally called on 9/4/09. The guy said they were expected to ship on 9/8/09. Strangely, just a few hours after I called, I got a shipment confirmation email from Sony. I just got my new reader yesterday and I love it. I would call Sony. I am not sure if it was just a coincidence that it shipped after I called, but it can't hurt.

I called, he said PRS-600RC should arrive 9/16 or 9/17 at the warehouse. Doesn't sound like a long backorder, was just concerned it would hang indefinitely while they kept allocating all the stock to the b&m stores.

FYI - I just received an email from Sony Customer Care that indicated PRS600BC has a new estimated ship date of 09/22/2009
