PDF Converting Help

Ok so I have a tonne of .pdf documents that are just horrible on the 500, ok on the 505 but no great, so I decided to use calibre (version 6) to convert to lrf.

It converts but the original fonts are changed and I cannot figure out how to make each new chapter to start on a fresh page, I know how to do this for a word doc by using Heading 1 but the pdf does not seem to be editable.

Also once converted I manually changed the author meta data in calibre but the lrf it produced does not reflect it on the reader.

On installing version 6 it asked what is my default reader, so I chose Sony PRS500, as I have a 505 as well is there any difference in converting for the two?

One last thing on the last calibre 5 version there was an ISBN line to grab a picture, seems to be missing now, or is that just me.
