Something Strange
Hi all, just converted three text files to epub and something that I can not figure out has happened.
The original file is a text file and when converted to epub, question marks in little black diamonds have appeared in the text. It seems to be replacing quotes, full stops and other grammar but I have also noticed a few chunks of text, two or three letters go missing and such see below a sample Original text block The chime rang again. “Enter,” she said, her voice cracking badly. She had to repeat herself, after a cough. “Come in, please.” The door slid to the side, and a female sailor stuck her head into the cabin. “Begging your pardon, Captain, but the XO says we’ve picked ’em up again, Epub after conversion The chime rang again. Enter, she said, her voice cracking badly. She had to repeat herself, after a cough. Come in, please. The door slid to the side, and a female sailor stuck her head into the cabin. Begging your pardon, Captain, but the XO says weve picked em up again., I reckon I have some setting set very wrong. Anyone seen this or know why. Cheers Tony Last edited by gandor62; 08-24-2009 at 09:03 PM. Reason: anyone know how to get a spell check in explorer 8. |
