Most of my books are in epub format. A lot of them have the first page or title page as the cover. I have used the edit metadata to delete that as the cover and have the plain old brown book. However, it doesn't work. The first page, title page, stays as the cover.
Is there some setting I'm missing? |

Is I view it, your only deleting the cover that calibre keep. Your not removing anything from the epub file.

The EPUB format doesn't really support covers. Your best bet is to set the cover to something in calibre and then convert from EPUB to EPUB. That will either replace the existing cover, if the source EPUB file properly marks it as a cover, or it will insert you specified cover before the old one.
