Accessories M-Edge e-Luminator2 Battery Issues

I've had my e-Luminator light a couple of weeks and as recent as yesterday afternoon, recommended it to a K2 owner I was working with.

As of last night, I started having battery issues. Fresh batteries burn out fast. This morning I installed a "fresh from the store" battery and couldn't get through one page before the light died. Could be a short, could be something else. I'm holding onto the battery and will test it with another device to see if it is truly dead.

As I recall short battery life was also a major issue with the first light. I'll be contacting M-Edge for a replacement.
