Convert Sony BeBB (LRF) to Palm

I have a Sony 505 Reader and some eBooks that I bought from the Sony eBookstore. I also have a Palm TX for reading while waiting for appointments.

Is it possible to convert Sony's BeBB (LRF) format to Mobi or something else that my Palm operating system can handle?

Thanks for any help anyone can give.

Books purchased via Sony's bookstore cannot be converted as they have DRM that cannot be stripped.

Thanks for the quick reply. While I had hoped that there was some way to remove the DRM so I could read my eBooks on my Palm, I guess I now have a better understanding about why people do not like our present DRM system.

Don't forget that Sony is switching to ePub. From Sony's ebook store FAQ:
Quote:
What will happen to previous purchases from the eBook Store from Sony, or to additional purchases that occur before the conversion?

Books that have been purchased from Sony’s eBook store in Broad Band eBook format (BBeB) will continue to work on existing devices. When the store is converted, customers will be able to re-download their previously purchased books in EPUB format.
So, by the end of the year you will be able to re-download your current LRX ebooks as Adobe ePub ebooks. The good thing about this is that Adobe ADEPT DRM has been circumvented, so you can strip the DRM and convert to MOBI (say) using Calibre.

Thanks, Wallcraft. As usual, I am "a day late and a dollar short". I checked the references to Adobe Adept DRM and all have been taken down so I guess I am "locked in" and can only read my purchased books on the Sony eReader.

You mean you can't find them anymore via Google?

If that is the case, you can PM me.

Regards,

Joop
