For all you Role-Players who love D&D 3.5...

Paizo just released their new Pathfinder update for D&D 3.5.

It's been in beta for over a year, and it's now available for order!

That is, after the second printing comes through...they sold out a week before release, thinking they had enough to last til the end of the year. Demand was much higher than anticipated.

The Pathfinder re-imagining is hailed by many as 3.75e. This is what 4e should have been.

The book is THICK at 576 pages! The hardbook costs US$49.99, or you can purchase the PDF version for only US$9.99.

I purchased my pdf a couple hours ago, and now have a copy in my laptop. It may take a while to get it, as their site is choked with traffic.

I also bought Hackmaster Basic from Kenzerco.

Very different, and it hearkens back to the older AD&D 1e days.

I loved 3.0, though there were some glitches. 3.5 was much better, although I wasn't too impressed with some changes they did. I felt they should have just taken 3.5, and overhauled it, getting rid of the chaff, and fine-tuning it. Instead they dropped it and took it in a new direction.

And as for 4e, it was so vastly different that I could not really get into it. I have the first 3 books, and some things I like, but I spose the feel of the game seems too different. Not meanign to offend anyone who likes it. I just prefer 3.5

But yes, I am glad that a company like Paizo is committed to continuing the 3.5 game system further.
