Can I amend and re-upload?

Hi, I uploaded a chapter of my book and discovered I made an embarrassing error. Can I re-upload the file?

hi rechavia, you can easily re-upload your file by editing your original post :
1. click "edit" (bottom right corner) then "go advanced"
2. manage attachments (paperclip button in the toolbar)
3. delete the old attachment, then upload the new one like you did the first time.
4. modify the version number in the thread title as well.

some people like to make a note in the post of how many downloads the previous version had. you might also want to add a new post saying there's a new version at the end to bump the thread, so people who downloaded will notice ; editing a thread doesn't move it back to the top of the list.

Yes. Go to the post, click on "Edit", click on "Go Advanced", and then "Manage Attachments". There you can remove the old attachment and add the new one.

Wait, I don't see any edit. I meant the file I uploaded to kindle in my "shelf". I don't see any edit option there.

heh, sorry, i thought you were talking about uploading a book here to our ebook section. that's what this forum is for. i don't have a kindle, but i'm pretty sure it shows up as an external disk when you plug in the usb cable, so inclined to say yes, very easily. but i can't give you detailed instructions for that, so i'm going to move this thread to the kindle forum where you'll get some experts chiming in.
