Uploading files from the web with spaces in their names
I sometimes upload books with a very large filesize, and most of them have spaces in their names. I can do it fine with the "Upload File from your Computer" boxes of the "Manage Attachments" dialog, but the upload connection from home is rather slow and uploading a 30MB file can take some time.
I also have access to a web server with much faster upload connection, and sometimes I'd like to upload from there instead. The problem is the spaces in their file names. In the "Upload File from a URL" box I have to enter the address of the file with "%20" replacing the spaces, and the the file name shown in the attachment has these "%20" instead of the spaces. I wonder if there would be some way to use spaces in the URL box or to rename an attachmend after it has been uploaded. Not that it is important, but it may be simple to "fix" too ![]() |

Jellby, I have to check if the upload-via-web form doesn't do proper url encoding.
Meanwhile, what do you think about using the _underscore_ instead of spaces? |

![]() In case I was not clear enough. I can upload the files via web without problems, I just have to write "%20" instead of the spaces, which would be fine if the "%20" didn't show in the attachment name after it's uploaded. That could also be due to my web server not being properly configured, in which case I'd be thankful of any help. |
