Hello all. I’m Anstance Tamplin and I’ve just joined MobileRead even though I don’t have a Kindle. Two reasons for that. First, I’ve got a new novel out in a Kindle edition and wanted to let people know about that. Second, my 92-year-old mother has a Kindle and I’m helping her with book recommendations. Mom suffers from macular degeneration and when her vision really started to deteriorate about a year ago we got her a Kindle so she could enlarge the font size and keep reading. She loves it and I think I’ll find lots to recommend at Reading Recommendations.

Thanks for the nice welcome! I have no immediate plans to get an ebook reader but I think we're all going to end up there very soon. Apart from people with vision problems like my Mom, they seem especially useful for frequent travelers who no longer have to lug books around. But you can be sure I'll be taking note of what the experts here have to say about all the readers currently on the market.
