Hello from a Newbie!

Hiya, I've been an avid reader my whole life, but just recently started reading ebooks on my iphone. I actually really like it since I can keep all my entertainment and contacts, phone, etc on one unit!

Love checking out all the discussions here, although some are quite heated! And looking for new bookstores to try - if anyone has any suggestions on what the best ones are - that's awesome. I think the biggest ones are like fictionwise and books on board, but who else are the big guys? I actually don't mind paying for books, I do want to support the authors who write them, and get good quality files, but I am totally not into those locked books. And I don't necessarily need to read the latest NYT bestsellers!

Anyway, thanks everyone, "see" you soon!

Welcome to MobileRead, boonercat!

I've purchased the majority of my ebooks from Fictionwise due to the great deals they have for buywise members but I've also been buying ebooks from Diesel ebooks as well. They have a lot of book bundles that make it easy and quick to download. You can also download free ebooks here at MR. Enjoy!

Happy Reading.

Hello Boonercat -- and welcome to MobileRead. I buy most of my electronic books from Amazon because they have the very best prices around. I'm also fond of the Multi-format books from Baen/Webscriptions and Fictionwise. I try to stay on top of the freebies and specials and am particularly fond of supporting the authors who offer their books at a reasonable price. I've discovered some very good books from independently- and self-published sources.

What types of books do you like to read?
