Thumbs up What kind of car do you drive?

I thought this would make for an interesting thread. I've always loved cars...I love looking at cars online, test driving cars, etc. I used to carry around those consumer reports car buying guides when I was little, and I had a GREAT time researching cars the two times I was in the market for a car.

I drive an '03 Hyundai Elantra GLS...it's LOADED. I got it through a friend at an auction for $8500 including all the fees. I could NEVER have gone to a dealer and bought this car. It's been a good car...so far! Hyundais and Kias seem to be alot better quality than they used to be.

Ok...your turn

Don't drive a car. Don't have a driving license. I like to walk Although if I did drive and I could have any car I wanted I would choose the '68 Chevy Impala, or on the early model Dodge Chargers.

I have a 2 door ford focus. Gets great mileage which was a great thing when I had a job to commute to. Still a good car though. Happy I bought it and enjoy driving it.

Fiat Panda (just got it yesterday)

It's cheap, It's slow. But most of all: It's affordable and does the job.

Honda Insight and Honda CR-V. If it were up to me we'd have only one car.

I have a bus pass. Actually a bunch of tickets, since I walk almost everywhere. I can pop up your hood and fix the thingy next to the thingy (And I'm serious, I've fixed The Ex's car quite a few times, without knowing exactly what I was doing ) but I can't tell you which pedal's the break on an automatic...

I had an '01 focus sedan....I LOVED that car! Unfortunately it got totaled when someone decided to turn in front of me. I would love to own another one someday, and I think the 2 doors are cute.

Don't drive a car. Don't have a driving license.

"We", however, have two cars - a 4WD and a "small car", called, respectively, Wolfie and Scruffy. Wolfie's the nice car, for fun and long trips, and Scruffy's the dog-car, for messing & shopping (locally). Scruffy is always full of sand.

I have a 1996 Geo Tracker. Two door convertible, soft top. I LOVE IT! I have wanted one of these since the first time I ever saw one, which was, well, back when they came out. Last May, when I had the now infamous UTI, Chris had to make the car payment. At that time we had a Chevy Blazer. He came home and said, "Hon, I'm so sorry, I know you don't feel good, but they have YOUR Tracker down there! You have to come see!" So I dragged myself off the couch and painfully got dressed and went to see. Yep, my dream Tracker, even to the color. So, long story short, we got it. I've told Chris several times that I plan to drive it until the wheels fall off - twice.
It's 4WD for winter, top down for summer, sporty, cute, and I love that short wheelbase. The only thing it doesn't do well is highway, it's geared too high. But since my driving is mainly in town anyway, that's ok with me. Chris calls it my "Shelly sized Jeep".
An added advantage - we got it right as the price of gas in the US soared to over $4.00 a gallon. I laughed all the way to the gas pumps - one fill up lasts me two weeks.

I get my new car on Monday, its a Dahiatsu Terios

I had an accident during the Easter vacations this year with my "old" (9 months old ) one. Thankfully neither my little brother, his girlfriend, her dog and me suffered any injuries.

We used to own a Daihatsu Feroza. It was a bulletproof car. The only problem we had was an apparent overheating issue, but the service guy told us you could drive a Daihatsu 4-cyl. through the infernal regions and it wouldn't overheat, and so he replaced the faulty gauge.

Did a lot of camping in that car. "Effy", we called her.

2006 Prius. Would have considered a Honda Insight (early version - love the styling and actually had better mpg than the Prius) but it was not in production when I needed to get a new car.
