Viewing My Photos
How is photo viewing on the PRS-505?
I'm one that takes a lot of pictures of my kids but I never carry any around. I was thinking that if I did some manipulation -- basically convert to greyscale and optimize for whatever resolution the Reader has -- I could start having fairly decent sized photos for showing off. Does anyone use it to display photos? How big are they -- full screen? Do they look okay or are they pixelly? If I store them on a memory stick, will it slow down the Reader when I start it up or browse my library? Thanks! |

Just put your photos in the reader, don't bother to convert to grayscale or downsize (unless you want to save space). You'll be surprised at the results.

I just uploaded a few photos to my 505. I did not edit them at all before uploading them and they looked fine. They don't show full screen but they are big enough to see them.
I have a question. After I uploaded some photos to the 505 and unplugged it, it downloaded all the book covers too. I would prefer that those not be in there, but I'm afraid to delete them. Any tips on how I can get these to not show up in that folder? Next I will try some music!! |

I find photos to look good on the 505...especially if you flip the view to landscape mode--they'll fill up the screen better that way. As Pablo said, there really is no reason to convert to grayscale unless you want to save space.

Wow! I had no idea it could handle photos so well!
I will try it and see how it goes. Thanks for the replies. ![]() |

Did you know that you can press the button that changes the font while you are viewing a picture, and it will zoom in on the picture? At least that works for me when I am viewing the photo id that I made for my reader, viewed in portrait mode.
