Question How can I make a template for the writepad?

Hi,

I think every device comes with a pdf template named MeetingNotes.pdf in the write pad folder. I wonder how may I make one of this template by the acrobat pro 07?
It seems like it can make a new note file for you every time you use the template file.

Oh and I realize, for the notes I took, I try to open that file on the computer, but my notes are not shown on the computer screen. Is it not saved in that pdf file but in the metadata file? How can I retract the note into the computer?

Create a pdf-file with whatever content you like. Keep in mind the DR does not add pages when you writing. If you anticipate needing a certain number of pages, make sure the pdf-file contains that number of pages. I myself created templates for for example 1, 2, 5, 10, 20 and 50 pages. (For blank pages and pages with lines.) Then copy the pdf-file to the DR and use the Companion Software supplied on the DR (only works with Windows) to select the pdf-file and click "Convert to Template" to turn it into a template.

The notes are indeed stored in the metadata. The Companion Software can create a pdf-file that merges the pdf-file with the notes (click Merge scribbles). Again, this only works on Windows. For Linux and Mac, check out the forums here on MR. An alternative has been made available.
