MOBI Output Compression?

I thought 0.6 was supposed to have an option for this in the GUI?

The only mobi compression options 0.6 currently supports is turning compression off. I've added it as well as a few other options to the GUI.

Yes and Yes. A check box to turn it off (why you would want to I don't know but Kovid has an option to do so).

Well previously it didn't compress them at all, and the code to do it was supposedly slow.

That makes sense. With 0.6 the palmdoc compression was rewritten in C so it's no longer slow.

Yeah, so far my conversions have been just as fast as the old Calibre if not faster. A couple of minutes at most. The only time it takes longer is if there's a lot of font rescaling to be done.
