MR #172 on Feedster List

Congrats to everyone here! MR made it to #172 on Feedster's list of 500 of the most interesting and important blogs. Thought that was really cool

Thanks Doctorow! Those sorts of things are big accomplishments for all of us here in the MobileRead community as we're still the new kids on the block, and people are just beginning to discover us. And it's definitely not just a MR staff thing. We're finding this modest level of success in large part because of the great community of members like yourself! I hope that this is just the beginning!

And certainly we can't forget to mention our good friends like Sammy and Lindsey and the gang over at Palm Addicts and other comrades on the web like Shaun from PDA24/7 and Lance at Palm Focus, and many more who have been so kind to give us a helping hand with their mentions of us. It's so cool to be part of community of such nice people, and while we love mobile technology, when you get to the bottom of why we all do it day after day, I suspect it's the people that are the biggest motivation when the days get long.

Heh of course that makes us very happy (Tad you're right, we should always try to strive for better, heh). I am not sure about the criteria for choosing Feedster's top blogs, but I know that there are a lot of other great blogs out there that would deserve to be in that list. Bob already mentioned some of those.

That said, it's nice, but not really a big deal to us. We continue business as usual, right?

MR is still in the list, which is a big accomplishment considering that they tweaked the system since the first time the list was published in August this year.
