lit to mobi

I have tried the search function but I get overloaded with results so I apologize if it has been covered...
I have a couple of books in LIT that look great. When I convert them to mobi with calibre I loose all italics, bold, and font size. The book is readable but the formatting disappears. Am I just going to have to live with it or is there a better way to convert the books to mobi?

open a aticket and attach one of these lit files
