Accessories Retractable Cable

I found one on Ebay, and I've tried it on two different computers (laptop and desktop) for both synching and charging. It works:

Very handy for travel (if you travel with a laptop).

I'm glad you found one that works. I have found that they are hit or miss. I have an adapter (mini to micro) for a BT headset that did not work. I also purchased one from Fry's that did not work. The charge light would come on for a few seconds then turn off. My laptop could not see the K2 when plugged in.

I had good luck with this one -- it charged the kindle fully, both on the laptop and desktop, and the computer recognized it right away.

You bought the exact same cable from the exact same ebay vendor? It seems to have arrived awfully fast...

I now have three of them and they all recognize my K2, on two different computers. Nobody can swear that an accessory like this will work for everyone -- what I posted was that it worked for me, and it does.
