what is wrong with these keys
I know almost all of my threads are about complaining , but i have no idea what else to do , it's just venting , with the vain hope , that someone might notify iRex about the mess they left over.
These keys , as i realized are capacitive . my problem is , stroking the keys , sometimes ( most of the time to be precise) does not wake the device , but instead , make it in a very strange mode , having 2-3 lights on . is this limited to my device , or is it a universal problem? cheers |

More than one light being on at a time is an error message. Each message has a specific meaning that iRex hasn't shared with the rest of us yet. You should DEFINITELY open a Trouble Ticket on the iRex site asking for help. Let them know very precisely what is happening, including which lights are on concurrently.
And let us know which lights are on and what your error message is. Thanks! |

I believe I mentioned this in another post of yours. Maybe in this case it might apply. If you are charging the reader, one or two lights will stay on if during charging you also hit a button. It probably is an error code but I would not be concerned for two reasons. The problem goes away once you stop charging and reset or power cycle the reader. Second, if this is your problem, iRex is aware of the problem and hopefully the next upgrade will fix it. There are a number of issues surrounding the battery. Buttons staying lit and non-responsive and the battery does not always charge to 100%. My reader sometimes charges to 87% and other times it charges to 100%. There is also an issue with the battery indicator. At times it is not accurate.

thanks for your response , as for the exact description of the problem :
when the famous and troublesome zZz sign appears , sometimes the three keys under the screen does not work , sometimes the center one works but arrow keys don't. sometimes when i try to push the buttons fast , the arrow keys at the edges of screen , stay lit , and does not accept orders.and eventually , there are times that for no reason at all , a set of keys stop to function for a minute or two. cheers |

Open a ticket
You need to go to the iRex support site: http://support.irexnet.com/
Click "register" to create an account for the support site. After registering and logging in, you can click "submit a ticket" to create a ticket. Greetings, Groen |

i have been contacted by iRex , after issuing a ticket , that my problem can be fixed at their place , so they need to pick it up , do any of you know how long will it take for them , to return it to me? i'm asking , because right now i am using it in Iran , and i will be in UK , where i originally bought it , in 2 weeks , and then return back in 2 weeks , so i would have a 2 week window .
can i ask for a refund? |
