Hi, I'm a newbie
I am a 28 year old male living in California. I mostly like sci-fie and fantasy books, but I am thinking of trying to branch out more. I have discovered that I like reading from my PDA as much as I like reading from paper texts so now I am looking over the internet for new sources of books. That is how I found this page. I hope to learn alot here.

Hi RatDog and welcome to the Forum. I used to read on my iPaq and liked it fine but once I saw eInk, I was hooked. Much better than a PDA because the page is bigger and you don't have the back light shining in your eyes.

I think cassidym is right, but wait until you discover (or buy) your first actual Reader dedicated to ebook reading. I once had a PDA (actually, I still have a different PDA) and, while it's great to be able to read an ebook on a portable device, reading on an actual Reader is incredible.

Ebook reading is fun, isn't it? If you want some recommendations, there's actually a Forum on Recommendations (that I started) that has a ton of people talking about what book they liked.
