Slashdot reports that eReader.com limits ebooks purchase only to US citizens

Today Slashdot reports that from now on you can only buy certain titles at www.eReader.com if you are US citizen.
They speculate that this policy change got implemented because Barnes&Noble purchased Fictionwise.

I have visited page linked in Slashdot article, but eReader.com seems to have pulled the page.
Could you, fellow mobilereaders that shop at e-Reader that this is indeed the truth.

It looks like we, non-US-citizens might be unable to buy Lord Of The Rings and other titles after all ...

They are wrong. Not that there are geographical restriction, but that it has some connection with B&N. There have been geographical restrictions at FW long before B&N entered the picture, and they are trivial to avoid. Just set your country to "USA" and pay by MicroPay or PayPal.
