Turning H2 tags into a Table of Contents?

I have another possibly dumb question.

All these h2 tags I'm adding to my ebooks how do you make it so that they end up in the Table of Contents on the PRS-505?

LRF is the main format I convert to, so I can share ebooks with my husband (he has my old PRS-500)

EDIT: running into some trouble I typed this "h2,none," (minus the quotes) into the Detect Chapter at Tag box in Calibre under Chapter Detection.

But I keep getting an error message that says I must have 2 commas...I already have two commas in h2,none, or does it mean 2 commas between h2 and none?

it sounds like you changed one of the other settings that is causing this problem. Try changing everything back to the defaults. And then only changing the detect chapter at tag setting

Well I removed the story that was throwing up the errors and turned off the program and turned it back on and for some reason that seemed to do the trick. Now I'm not getting the weird error messages and I'll have to load one of the files to my device to see if the TOC is working but so far everything else is.

Okay, I ran my test and did everything you said but when I opened the LRF ebook there were no chapters listed in the TOC in the index.

I only added h2,none, to the chapter attr detection. Was I supposed to check any of the boxes?

when I get home tonight I can take some screen caps if that'll help?

the TOC is added to the metadata, the calibre LRF viewer doesn't show it, you can see it by using th emenu on the prs 500

I don't mind the LRF viewer not seeing the TOC, the problem is my Sony PRS-505 doesn't see either. though for future testing purposes I will use the menu on the prs-500? I'm guessing this is a profile on the LRF Viewer?
