Hello from the Netherlands

I have bought an iLiad (Book edition) about one week ago and I love it.

I started reading ebooks on my laptop, several years ago already, then -because that is not really convenient- i changed to reading ebooks on my PDA, which was a lot better, but at home it looks as if i am on vacation.

Now, after an extensive comparison, I bought the iLiad. The pages of the BeBook and the Sony reader are too small to my liking. If I would have bought one of those I might as well have stayed with my PDA.

The iLiad is great. Advantages: too many to sum up.

Disadvantages: battery life; sometimes (but that is becoming much better after the first week) it advances 5 pages instead of one.
The weak point of the hardware doubtless is the page turner anyway.

And it is very misery of iRex not to give some cover with this quite expensive machine. I have bought one after three days, and it makes the iLiad a perfect reader.

Anyway, i have read about 500 pages so far and I couldn't do without my iLiad any more.

Hi Rene and welcome!

I glad you're enjoying your iLiad! What kind of books do you enjoy reading?

I read: -Classic literature (latest: Middlemarch by George Eliot) - Classic "pulp" (latest: 0ne of the The Son of Tarzan) - Classic detectices/Mystery (latest: The Cicular Study).
These are my main ingredients. On the iLiad right now the classic detectives are in the majority, so the next one will be one of those.

Regards,
Rene.

I've been reading the Sherlock Holmes Omnibus downloaded from MobileRead. It's a very nicely formatted edition.
