hey jenny; I have actually been trying to find a supplier of skins/covers for my PRS700 and I think this may be the first company to provide this for the 700. From what i saw they have tons of cool colors/styles and you can even customize! Plus they keep the symbols on each button ( which decal girl does not do all the time).

p.s. If you don't like the jpg's they offer why not go with the customize option?

Wow, there are some realy nice skins. But I wonder how you apply it to the front, since the left side of the reader has these rills.

Unfortunatly the shipping cost for international orders are pretty high. 19$.

wow thats more than the value of the skin! but i think they should have taken that into account...
They probably made it slightly longer so it can hug the grooves

I received my skin last night. The main reason I wanted one is because I did not like to use my 700 with a cover, I find it so much easier reading with the device "naked." My issue with that is that the metal is very "slippery" so i wanted some grip.
Now as you can see in the pics, the skins come with two layers covering it. You first peel the white back and then apply straight on the clean surface and peel back the piece that covers the front of the skin.
I was expecting something more professional like something from skins.com. The front piece and back piece is one solid unit each. My issue with that is that there is a gray ring around the screen of the 700 that ia a bit raised. On this area the skin is also raised
Also the skins don't fully cover the 700. MAJOR
The skins were also supposed to have the icons that appear above the buttons, but 1: they are white on a white background!! 2: they are slightly cut off (but you can't see this since its white on white!!!!!)

Positives:
I like the design ( duh! i picked it!)
I like the grip factor on it
Seems of good quality ... so far...

I will wait till skins.com make some for the 700 since they take their time and make you pieces for each aspect of a gadget if the gadget is raised and or abnormally shaped.

Alpha, these are such great pictures. My 700 looks so dull that it is a shame. I am heading over to get a skin. This forum gets better every day.

Yea, I agree. That was another reason I wanted a skin. And Although I have a lot of complaints on the manufacturing of this skin from 3acp.com. It's ok relative to the price.

Once another company makes one for the 700, I will get it and review it too.

Yes it is, I tried twice. The first time was when I was applying it and later on when a spec was caught underneath it. I did notice that it does not leave any sticky film. If you apply it and go over with it with a credit card and then try to completely remove it will stretch the skin.

hope this helps.

The skin (and others offered by this company) look awesome. I just sent off an email to see if they will be carrying them for the 505 at any time.
