A little impulsive perhaps?
I just received my 505 last weekend. It's tax season and I have only had a couple of opportunities to read but I already noticed that I'm reading with the book tilted to the lamp to get more illumination on the page.
So today I'm checking out Craigslist instead of doing my work and I see someone selling a new 700 for $250. I just made an arrangement to meet the seller tomorrow morning to buy it. I'm thinking that the 700 will stay next to my bed and the 505 will travel with me. If it turns out the I prefer one over the other and i can't justify keeping both, I'll pass the other one on. |

It's already justified: 700 at night, 505 otherwise
![]() I prefer reading newspapers (from Calibre) on 505, it's easy to navigate with one hand, to jump from an article to an article I just push a button instead of touching the screen. For books, both work fine. |

Sounds perfect!
I think it would really distract me to have two readers. So far, I occasionally read a pbook in the bathroom LOL my sony everywhere else.... that's about all the diversifying I'm ready for! ![]() |

@ SD -
That's exactly what I do with mine. I find it to be an excellent investment. My 505 has been beaten up and is the perfect travel companion right now... Although, this week I am taking a class and found my 700 to be a good companion to my Vaio P during downtime. So - PRS-505 for every day travel and work PRS-700 for in house and other "safe" readings. I guess the reason for my paranoia is I bought both readers when they had their big buck prices. Plus, the 700 is faster for when I am at home. The 505 and its noticable lag is perfect for work when I have all the time in the world ![]() |

I picked it up today. The woman selling it had won it on The Ellen Show during her 12 days of Christmas giveaway. She said everyone in the audience received about $1,500 worth of electonics including the Reader.
So, no receipt if a problem arises but a pretty good price at $250. |
